Pam entered the interpreting world in 1981, when she graduated from the ITP at St. Paul TVI. As an interpreter, she specializes in business, DeafBlind/PT, medical, and theatrical interpreting. Pam is also a published author, national speaker, certified consultant, and trainer. She is the co-owner of Dynamic Communications (est. 1986) and ASL Interpreting Services (est. 1995). Pam is an interpreter mentor and assessor of interpreting skills, plus she has served on various positions on the Minnesota Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (MRID) board including the freelance committee & treasurer, and she is currently on the St. Paul College Foundation board. Pam is also a member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), Minnesota Association of Deaf Citizens (MADC) and more.
Pam is now retired, but remains President of ASLIS. She has passed the baton to Jason Nygren Hawkins' capable hands.
