Mentoring Specialty Areas: English to ASL and ASL Language Model
General
A native ASL signer, originally from Albert Lea, Minnesota, Sherri Rademacher attended California State University in Northridge and St Cloud State University for her bachelor’s degree. She received a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota.
Before coming to the U as an alumnus, Rademacher served in the various positions within the fields of Deafness, employment and advocacy. Previously, she was an instructor at Saint Paul College for over 25 years. Critiquing and providing feedback to students and interpreters is her passion. When focusing on one small thing at a time while building their ASL mastery students bloom right before her eyes. Currently she is a full-time instructor at University of Minnesota-St Paul campus: ASL Program teaching ASL 1 – 4. A frequent lecturer across the state of Minnesota, Sherri Rademacher’s topics cover various topics such as Fingerspelling, Classifiers, Sign Variations, English, ASL Phrases and Semantics.
Living out in the country in West Central Minnesota with her husband you will find her gardening, second-hand shopping, motorcycle riding, snowshoeing and family visiting during her free time.
