What does it mean to be ethical? Is there a universal definition for ethics? This Independent Study provides you with an opportunity to dissect this ambiguous topic and reflect on your own personal ethics as an interpreter. You will read 2 articles and write a 2-page minimum paper. Questions are provided.
1) Illustrate an understanding of RID’s Code of Professional Conduct.
2) Dissect what it means “to be ethical” and compare a variety of definitions.
3) Assess my perspective on what it means “to be ethical” and consider how it impacts my interpreting.
