Event Details

Earn 0.2 CEUs by completing this Independent Study. May 17th – May 23rd is National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week! This Independent Study provides an opportunity to explore EMS and how to improve medical services for the Deaf community. You will be required to write a 2-page minimum paper. Questions are provided.

Educational Objectives:

1) Define EMS and the roles of EMTs and Paramedics.

2) Experiment with ideas to help bridge communication gaps within EMS.

3) Self-analyze my current views and experience on medical interpreting.
