With over 40 years of experience, Steven D. Peterson is one of the finest Wood
masters of the day. Deaf since birth, Steven capitalized on his keen eye and
skilled craftsmanship to create thousands of high-quality works of art. A true
student of woodworking, he continually strives for the betterment of his art.

Educated at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, Steven
majored in Woodworking and Furniture Design. Steven has furthered His skills
in various employment positions, such as an apprenticeship in Norway,
working as senior craftsman in Rochester, New York and teaching
woodworking for 14 years at the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint,
Michigan. He currently runs his own business in his hometown of Duluth,
Minnesota, providing custom woodworking.
