Event Details
Remote interpreting is increasingly becoming a key component of many interpreters’ skill sets. However, if you’re new to Video Remote Interpreting (VRI), it can be challenging to know where to start. In this workshop, we will explore various approaches to remote interpreting, help you assess your readiness, introduce you to the platforms you’ll be using, and discuss strategies for managing remote interpreting sessions. While VRI presents its own set of unique demands, it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. By the end of this workshop, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how to confidently get started.
Educational Objectives:
- Educational Objectives:
- Assess the interpreter’s readiness for remote interpreting.
- Recognize situations where VRI is effective and those where it may not be equitable or suitable.
- Identify the steps needed to start working as a remote interpreter.
ASLIS virtual workshops are NOT recorded for later viewing.
