Shelby joined ASLIS in June of 2022. Her interest in ASL and the Deaf community started in 2015 and inspired her to go back to school for ASL. She graduated from Saint Paul College with an AAS Sign Language Interpreting in 2021. Using sign language and remaining part of the Deaf and Interpreting communities is very important to her, and ASLIS has given her the perfect opportunity to be a part of that world again. Outside of work Shelby loves to spend time with her friends, read the many books on her TBR list and hang out in hammocks near lakes.
